Live Burn Drill

Sunday, April 25, 2010 This type of training does not happen that often anymore and when it does it is a huge benefit to a fire department. A big thank you goes out to Bernie Iacovangelo, a local business man and developer of Chili, for allowing the department to use this structure throughout the winter months for some hands on training which helped our new recruits get a feel for what it takes to work in a practical environment. They had a chance to learn the skills of venting a roof and to bring up their skills in search and rescue, initial fire, attack and R.I.T operations. This live burn drill marked the conclusion of the training at the house.
