Saturday, May 22, 2010 On Saturday the Chili Fire Department’s Explorer Post 546 held a car wash fund raiser at station one. They turned out in numbers and as a team they spent most of the day washing and drying cars as the public drove through. The group is headed up by Lieutenant Andrew Wilkinson who is the head advisor for the post and between him and the other assistant advisors and the kids the fund raiser was a success bringing in $395.00. The money they raised will go towards buying equipment for their Explorer competition team and maybe even an outing to Darien Lake this summer for a job well done.
