Tuesday, August 3, 2010 The local Target Store located at 3181 Chili Ave. invited the Chili Fire Department to participate in this year’s “National Night Out”. This was the 27th annual National Night Out event which is a unique crime/drug prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch.

For the event the department supplied a ladder truck for the kids to look at and to climb in and on they also learned about fire safety in their homes and the firefighter’s handout fire prevention materials. The parents also had a lot of questions one of which was how they could join the department and volunteer their time and get involved in helping the community. The event was a success and we would like to thank Target for the invitation.
