The Chili Fire Department responded for a two vehicle MVA on Scottsville Road this afternoon. The initial call stated that there was a truck overturned on fire and a van went into a pole. 4C-23 and 4C-43 went on location with a garbage truck on its side and a pole and transformer on top of the vehicle.4C-23 further reported that the second vehicle was 2000’ farther up the road into a pole.
Due to the updates 4C-13 requested a response from the Scottsville Fire Department and they assisted 4C-13 and 4C-43 with securing the vehicle hazards on the SUV and also removed two infants from the back seat. 4C-23 and the Chili apparatus waited for RG&E to arrive on the scene so the electric could be secured allowing access to the driver of the garbage truck. Gates, Henrietta and Caledonia responded with ambulances and three were transported to the hospital. The cause of the accident is under investigation and the road was shut down for a few hours.
