The Chili Fire Department is once again sponsoring a
collection drive to assist wounded U.S Troops and their families with
various items listed below as they are recovering from their injuries. The
drive runs now through Saturday 11/10/12.
Last year Monroe
County Fire Departments
provided an outpouring of support, and we are asking that you once again
consider supporting this effort.
Winter clothes are one of the most important items, due
to the fact that a lot of the family members who are making the trip to the
hospital are from the Southern States and are not accustomed to the harsh
winters up in the North.
Jim Lechner, long time member of the Chili FD, Former
Marine, and father of a wounded warrior, will again be delivering these care
packages to the Walter
