Firefighters from the Chili Fire Department along with four other County departments Henrietta, North Greece, Ridge Road and Fairport were deployed at 04:00 this morning from the P.S.T.F to assist with emergency calls in Broome County due to the recent weather. Chili deployed there SEFU with a crew of two and they are expected to be assisting there for up to 72 hours.

The Chili Fire Department responded early this
evening for a reported two vehicle MVA at Beaver Road and Norfolk Drive. 4C-43
went on location and reported a two car MVA with a possible head on with nobody
trapped and a total of four victims. 4312 secured the vehicle hazards on both
vehicles and the CVAS Ambulance evaluated four victims calling in a second
ambulance from Gates. The Fire police were also asked to respond to shut down
Beaver Road between Old Scottsville Chili Road and Archer Road. The cause of
the accident is under investigation.

The Chili Fire Department responded late this afternoon for a reported MVA in the area of 296 Ballantyne Road. 4C-13 arrived on location and reported a vehicle off the road out in the middle of a horse pasture and also a fire hydrant that was taken down. The crew of 4312 secured the vehicle hazards and the CVAS Ambulance took one sign off. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

The Chili Fire Department responded this morning for a reported vehicle flipped in front of 3753 Chili Avenue and unknown on injuries. 4C-13 and 4312 arrived on location and found a vehicle on its roof in the front yard of a residents home after going off the road and clipping a tree the operator was not trapped. The crew of 4312 secured the vehicle hazards while the CVAS ambulance provided patient care. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

the opportunity to take a tour of the new Monroe
County Crime Lab this morning. Unfortunately due to the sensitive nature of the
building pictures are not allowed inside but the kids had a good time. Here is

for an MVA on Chili Ave. in front of Wegman's. 4C-43 arrived on location and
reported he had a two vehicle MVA with injuries and also blocking. The crews of
4312 and 4332 secured the vehicle hazards and assisted the ambulance with
patient care. The Fire Police were also requested to provide traffic control. The
cause of the accident is under investigation.

The Chili Fire Department responded this evening for a two vehicle MVA with a report of one vehicle into a tree on Hillary Drive. 4C-23 and 4312 arrived on location and reported a two vehicle MVA with one vehicle into a tree with fluids leaking. The crew of 4312 secured the vehicle hazards and the CVAS Ambulance provided patient care. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

The Chili Fire Department teamed up once again with
the Rochester Muscular Dystrophy Association for the annual “Fill the Boot
Drive” for Jerry’s Kids. The project is headed up once again by firefighter John Dailey
and the department took to the streets tonight and will spend the next three
nights taking donations from the public for a worthy cause.

At tonight’s General Meeting the Chili Fire Department and the Town of Chili teamed up in a joint effort to present one of our firefighters with a lifesaving award. In attendance for the presentation was Chili Fire Department membership along with Supervisor David Dunning, Deputy Supervisor Jordon Brown and all the Town Board members Tracy DiFlorio, Virginia Ignatowski, Michael Slattery and Mary Sperr.
On the morning of June 10, 2011 Battalion Chief Dan Murphy was working at his job for the Town of Chili Highway Department at the Widener Park Disc Golf Course when a 56 year old male collapsed at the back of the course. Chief Murphy alerted by his pager hopped out of the backhoe he was operating and directed his way to the back of the course where he found a male down and in cardiac arrest. Chief Murphy started CPR on the victim and continued until the C.V.A.S Ambulance and the Clifton Fire Department arrived on scene. The victim was transported to the hospital where a few days later he was released.

This evening the Monroe County Firefighter 1 Bootcamp Class #79 graduation was held at the Monroe Community College Auditorium. In this class the Chili Fire Department recognized four of its firefighters Kyle DaVia, Matt Wheeler, Corry Raymer and Sarina Moneta. They all received their certificates of accomplishment. NICE JOB!!!!
